Bookings

+ WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET IN TOUCH?

The most efficient way to make contact is by e-mailing bridalbykennedy@hotmail.com

+ WHAT INFO IS REQUIRED?

To start working for you, I will need some information about you and your event; the more detail the better. Please supply the following:

  • Full Name, contact number and email address;
  • Date of booking;
  • The time you need to be ready for;
  • Name and address of the venue where the makeup service is required;
  • How many people require the makeup service? (e.g. bride, 3 bridesmaids, mother of the bride, etc);
  • An example of the makeup style desired if possible;
  • Any specifics about the clients’ skin (e.g. any sensitivity to certain products), etc.

If you are contacting me on behalf of someone else (client), please make sure you provide the client’s name within the information listed above.

+ HOW DO I SECURE MY BOOKING?

To secure a booking, please confirm by e-mail and I will send an invoice for a £50 deposit. Your date will be secured as soon as the payment is received.

This deposit secures my availability on the agreed date and time. The deposit is deducted from the final amount due. Please note that enquiries for which a deposit has not been paid are not confirmed and therefore, my availability cannot be guaranteed.

+ HOW DO I PAY?

I accept bank-to-bank transfer or cash payments. Bookings are only secured once payments have cleared. For the remaining balance it can be paid 48hrs before the event day, or if you prefer to pay on the day of the event, it needs to be in cash.

+ DO YOU SELL GIFT VOUCHERS?

Yes. Gift vouchers are available for all makeup packages – for more information, please get in touch using this Contact Link.

Make-up Trials

+ WHY HAVE A TRIAL?

A makeup trial is a great opportunity to get to know each other. To deliver the best results, I have to understand your likes, dislikes and discuss your makeup ideas. The bridal makeup is a key part of your day so it is crucial not to skip this part of the process.

At the trial, I go through your eye colour, skin colour, texture and facial features as well as your dress, flowers, overall theme of the wedding. The makeup style has to enhance your personality not take over the rest. It very important to work together to make you look and feel your very best and exude confidence. The trial also gives the opportunity to test the best products for you to ensure there are no skin reactions or sensitivities to them. It remains your responsibility to inform me if any reactions occur after the trial so that I avoid the use of the product(s) that may have caused it.

It’s an enjoyable fun experience, going through all your makeup ideas, likes and dislikes. (I know many of my brides haven’t worn makeup before, so baby steps…)

+ WHEN SHOULD I BOOK A TRIAL?

I recommend booking your trial 3 to 6 weeks before the wedding day, as this is when your skin tone and texture will be as close as on the day. Too far in advance is not ideal as your skin could change. During the trial I will take pictures and keep a record of the products used in every look to ensure the chosen look is replicated to perfection on the big day.

Makeup trials can be booked from Monday to Thursday from 9AM to 4PM. Weekend availability for trial sessions may be limited and therefore cannot be guaranteed. Please get in touch through Contact Link for more information.

+ HOW LONG DOES A TRIAL TAKE?

I allow approximately 2 hours with each of my brides, so that I can go through different looks and products without rushing. It’s a fun and enjoyable process.

+ WHAT SHALL I WEAR?

Try to wear a light coloured top or similar to your dress colour. If you arrive in a Star Wars hoody and walking boots, any makeup will just seem out of theme and change your perception. Cleansed, clean skin with no makeup is perfect.

+ WILL I LEAVE WITH SOME IDEAS OF WHAT TO DO?

You will leave with skincare tips and advice. You will also have information on where to buy the chosen lipstick, as this is the one thing you will need to top up on the day.

+ ARE INDIVIDUAL LASHES INCLUDED?

Semi-permanent lashes add a wonderful effect, perfect to the overall look. I will be delighted to discuss the options available during the trial session. Individual lash application is included in the price of our makeup services. Kindly note that there is no reduction in price for any makeup packages if they are declined.

+ CAN I BRING SOMEONE TO MY TRIAL?

The wedding preparations are as special as the wedding day itself so if you want to share the trial experience with your loved ones, you are more than welcome. I will need to be informed in advance of the numbers, due to the limited space in our salon.

+ DO ALL BRIDES HAVE A SIMILAR LOOK?

Absolutely never or I would be very bored now. Such a varying range of brides, it’s very rare two people ever have the same perception of ‘natural’ and with such a variety of weddings and brides, there is no one size fits all, trials are ideal to discuss things and get the perfect style for you.

On the wedding day

+ HOW LONG DOES THE BRIDAL MAKEUP TAKE?

Bridal makeup takes approximately 60 minutes. Other wedding party guests’ (e.g. bridesmaids, mother-of-the-bride) makeup takes approximately 40 to 45 minutes each. Usually brides want to be ready with makeup an hour or so before having to leave for the ceremony – you will still need to get dressed, have some photos taken, enjoy a relaxing glass of champagne and deal with other last-minute things. Time will fly the morning of the wedding; so I highly recommend scheduling plenty of time for after makeup before leaving for the ceremony.

Good to know

ARE YOU INSURED? Yes, personal liability insurance is assured. WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY? I hope no one ever checks on this question but, if you happen to read this, kindly note that the booking fee is non-refundable or transferable. I look after my brides personally and can only do one wedding per day. As makeup services are typically booked months in advance, if for any reason you cancel your booking, I won’t be able to re-book the date.
